How Do I Safely Share Logins with My Doer

Here are our Seven Steps with secure your information and safely share your logins with your Doer:

  1. Sign up to a Password Manager such as LastPass or 1Password. Create two accounts - one for yourself and a second for your Doer. 
  2. Set a strong Master Password and do not share this with anyone. Have your Doer do the same.
  3. If you are overdue for a password change or are currently utilising the same password across multiple platforms, we recommend updating these and using only strong passwords generated by your Password Manager.
  4. Enable Two Factor Authentication on LastPass, shared drives and any other apps which offer this function.
  5. Make sure you have completed the latest available software update and ensure that your Doer sets their computer to automatically update.
  6. Never share sensitive information over the internet where it can be susceptible to hacking. Only share logins via LastPass.
  7. If you suspect that your device or account has been hacked, run a virus scan, update passwords and notify Outsourced Doers so we can clear and reinstate your Basecamp to ensure any files aren’t compromised. Ensure you are then following the above steps to prevent further breaches.
