What Happens if My Doer is experiencing Internet Connectivity Issues?
Doers are working in a Work From Home set-up with complete equipment to support their day to day work. However, there might be factors outside of our control from time to time that may cause interruptions once in a while. If there is a recurring issue, we do encourage you to reach out to the DSL or the Founder Success Team to see if we can look into this for you.
Whilst we are hoping you will not experience regular setbacks in the form of internet or power outages, we wish to provide some guidance on what you and your Doer can do in this situation!
We would recommend having a plan in place with your Doer, where you can assign them tasks to do that do not require an internet connection to complete and send them this list through an email or Basecamp. You can also CC their DSL in this so they are made aware. You may also check the briefing toolkit for any tools and tasks you can assign to your Doer whilst they are temporarily offline.
It is also important to communicate to your Doer that the lost time will be added in increments. For instance, if your Doer had internet or power interruptions for 3 hours, you can get them to add 1 hour in their workday for 3 days to compensate for this.
Can I speak with my Doer on the phone if I can’t contact them?
As our Doers are not supplied with phones, we encourage you to utilize a digital platform such as Zoom or Google Meet to speak to your Doer. Your Doer’s DSL can try contacting your Doer to check in if your Doer is experiencing these internet issues.
