Doers have similar leave entitlements as local team members. They will have a total of 7 days of Vacation Leave and 7 days of Sick Leave off for each year of employment. Leave credits can not be converted into cash and therefore, Doers are encouraged to use all their leave credits during the calendar year.
Since your Doer is your team member, your Doer’s requested leave must first be communicated to and approved by you, and then by their Doer Success Lead. As soon as this leave request has been approved, your Doer can file a leave request to their DSL, who will then forward this to our HR Department to review and record.
How is my Doer’s Leave Managed?
Our Team takes care of the HR and payroll on your behalf so you have one less thing to manage! Our HR team will keep a record of your Doer’s leave balance, and their leave of absence requests and be the ones in authority to approve any of your Doer’s schedule changes.
If you are ever curious about how much leave your Doer has saved up, this information is easily accessible by sending us a message on founders@outsourceddoers.com and we will respond to you with this exact information.
Different Types of Leave Requests
Sick Leave
What happens if my Doer is sick?
Your Doer is entitled to 7 days of Sick Leave in the calendar year. We wish to provide a gentle reminder that your Doer’s leave of absence will be similar to if a regular employee takes sick leave. If your Doer has taken sick leave, we do not allocate another Doer to cover for them. However, your Doer will be accountable for catching up on their workload for the time that they are off. If your Doer feels they are unfit for work, they are encouraged to notify you and your DSL at least 24 hours in advance so that they may rest and recharge for when they return.
If your Doer is ill for over 7 days and requires additional time off, this will be considered as leave without pay, which you will not be charged for during their absence.
However, we understand there are rare occurrences where there is an urgent issue you need your Doer’s assistance with. You are welcome to reach out to your Doer’s DSL first to see if they have the capacity to assist, however, we are unable to guarantee this.
You may also reach out to founders@outsourceddoers.com with a task briefing of what needs to be done, what platforms these items are on and access details required to complete this and we can review how our Support teams can help with these requests. Please keep in mind that some escalations may take a few business days to resolve.
If your Doer has requested a few hours off for an appointment, they will be expected to ask for your approval first and then notify their DSL. Please note that your Doer will be expected to make up the hours outside of their regular shift.
Vacation Leave
Sometimes, your Doer may need a break to recuperate so that they may get back to working exceptionally! Your Doer will be expected to accrue vacation leave before they can apply for it. For this type of leave, your Doer is expected to first reach out for your approval, then their DSL’s approval. As soon as this has been established, your Doer will file a leave request to their DSL, who will then forward this to our HR Department to review.
Doer Maternity Leave
In the instance where your Doer is expecting, your Doer holds the responsibility to alert their DSL and our HR team of their upcoming maternity leave and outline an expected departure date. Whilst your Doer will likely share the wonderful news with you, this information is additionally passed onto the Founder Success Team, who will reach out to communicate the details of the maternity leave for you.
The Founder Success Team will communicate the advised date of the leave, as well as what the next steps for you and your Doer will be.
105 days of Maternity Leave is provided by Outsourced Doers following the Philippine Law.
We will arrange for a Re-Match before your Doer’s effective leave date so that you will have someone who can do a handover. This Doer may work with your current Doer for up to 2 weeks to facilitate a handover of tasks, at no additional cost to you.
If a Doer is taking Paternity Leave, they will follow the same procedures outlined here.
Am I able to ‘gift’ my Doer Leave?
Whilst you are able to ‘gift’ your Doer Leave, please note this will not be counted as your Doer taking their annual leave, since it can be a time they choose (if approved).
What happens if I need to take time away from my business?
We understand you may need a break every now and then! If you wish to take a vacation, your Doer will continue to work on your business whilst you are away, to ensure everything is running smoothly until you return. Please ensure you and your Doer have worked together to plan this time away so that they will have sufficient tasks to work on. Your Doer will also have their DSL who may assist with assigning work to your Doer, such as research tasks or Doer University. Either way, you will be able to enjoy your vacation in peace!
If you need further assistance, please forward your queries to founders@outsourceddoers.com.
